Moroccan Army, AFRICOM explore cooperation in defense communications

Morocco’s Royal Armed Forces in partnership with US Africa Command (AFRICOM) held on August 19 a symposium focusing on interoperability in information sharing.

The event brought together dozens of African states and organizations to learn about best practices in the fields of cyber and information systems, Moroccan media reported.

Africa Endeavor is AFRICOM’s annual Senior Leader Signals Symposium, with integrated Technology Expo focusing on cyber, interoperability, and information sharing.

The event aims at strengthening networks and capability in terms of sharing tactics, training standardization, lessons-learned, processes, procedures and development of documented standards for participating nations.

Morocco and the US have signed a ten-year agreement spanning until 2030 that facilitates closer cooperation in all strategic and military fields including arms procurement, military training in all sectors, as well as intelligence sharing.
