LafargeHolcim unveils new cement plant in Taroudant

Cement producer LafargeHolcim, listed with the Casablanca stock exchange, announced the completion of its new plant in Taroudant worth $330 mln with an annual capacity of 1.6 million tons.

 

The new factory, which is set to start production in July, will supply cement for construction and infrastructure projects in the region of Souss and the Sahara, company officials said.

 

The plant was built 100% by Moroccan contractors and will be powered by wind energy complemented by other alternative energy sources.

 

LafargeHolcim provides building materials. The Company produces and markets ready-mixed concrete, cement, clinker, and ad-mixtures, as well as consulting and engineering services in all areas of the cement manufacturing process and operates cement manufacturing facilities worldwide.
