TunisAir jet bound for Lyon made an emergency landing

A TunisAir passenger jet bound for the French city of Lyon made Monday an emergency landing at Tunis-Carthage after takeoff owing to a technical problem, Tunisie Numerique reports citing transport minister Moez Chakchouk.
The jet carrying 109 passengers was forced to return Chakchouk indicated adding that the technical problem is common with aged aircraft.
The minister also added that the passengers were safe and sound and received compensation for prejudice they suffered.
TunisAir, Tunisia’s national carrier currently operates a fleet of 8 aircrafts, most of them aged. The airline has been facing financial distress. The company has not been able to revamp its fleet and unable to pay salaries.
