Ukraine seeks an FTA with Morocco

Ukraine plans to start negotiations for free trade agreements with North African countries including Morocco, Ukraine’s deputy minister for economic development Taras Kachka said.

The news was relayed by Ukrainian media which reported that visits will take place this month.

“We plan to make this official in December through official statements or MoU starting with Egypt and Morocco,” Kachka said.

Morocco had a trade deficit with Ukraine amounting to 3.37 billion dirhams.

Morocco imports mostly wheat from Ukraine and exports about 684 million dirhams of fisheries basically.
