MEDays forum awards its highest distinction to Senegal’s President
MEDays forum awarded its grand prix to Senegalese President Macky Sall in recognition for his commitment to the development of his country and the consolidation of peace and stability in Africa.
The distinction is awarded annually by Amadeus institute, one of the main think tanks in Morocco, which organizes the MEDays forum, to leaders who stood out by their actions in favor of democracy, peace and progress.
Sall was also appointed honorary president of the 12th MEDays forum held this November 13-16 in Tangier under the theme “the global distrust crisis: facing subversion and uncertainties.”
Some 1500 people are taking part in the event which is also attended by the President of Sierra Leone.
The event is a chance to highlight Morocco’s role to promote dialogue in the continent, said Sall after receiving the prize.
Such a forum is conducive to “building confidence between different citizens and countries,” he said.
