Morocco’s Central Bank Governor Receives 2 Prizes at IMF- WB Event

Abdellatif Jouahri, Governor of Morocco’s Central Bank, Bank Al Maghrib, was distinguished for the second year in a row as one of the best performing heads of central banks in the world by the IMF and the Word Bank Group.

Jouahri received an A grade award in Global Finance, awarded at a ceremony on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (WBG-IMF) held Oct. 8-14 in the Indonesian island of Bali.

Jouahri received the distinction together with five other central bank governors in recognition for their achievements in keeping with international norms and standards.

Later in the evening, Jouahri won Global Markets’ award of the best Central Bank governor in 2018 in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
