Morocco Picks up PR Agency Vero for 2026 FIFA World Cup Bid
Vero Communications Ltd has been chosen by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) as the lead international communications and strategy agency to promote the North African country’s 2026 FIFA World Cup bid.
VERO said it will work with the Federation and the Morocco 2026 Bid Committee to help shape the vision of a welcoming, passionate and authentic tournament in one of Africa’s most dynamic nations.
VERO will be the lead agency on all aspects of international media and social media communications and work closely with bid leaders on overall campaign strategy.
VERO’s appointment comes after a hugely successful 2017 for the agency. This PR agency worked on Paris’ successful 2024 Olympics bid and staged the election campaign for new International Paralympic Committee president Andrew Parson.
VERO Communications Chairman Mike Lee said: “We are delighted to be joining the Morocco 2026 Bid at this time and look forward to this exciting journey all the way to the FIFA Congress in June”.
“Morocco is a truly welcoming country with an authentic passion for football, providing excellent conditions for players, easy for fans to access and get around and all in a single time zone. Its location at the crossroads of Europe and Africa, and East and West, means it also offers FIFA a superb commercial proposition”, he added.
“This promises to be a very interesting campaign as a country from Africa seeks the honor to host the most important footballing event on the planet”, stressed the London-based communications agency.
European and Asian nations may not bid for 2026 World Cup due to recent hostings, while the US, Mexico and Canada have confirmed a joint bid.
