Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency Stands Out at Emirates Energy Award

The Moroccan agency for energy efficiency (AMEE) was awarded a top prize at the third Emirates Energy Award in Dubai in recognition for its efforts to promote the rational use of energy.

AMEE was among 33 winners at the event organized in tandem with the fourth edition of The World Green Economy Summit (WGES) with the participation of leading energy professionals from around the globe.

“This prize attests to the strategic vision spearheaded by King Mohammed VI in terms of promoting renewable energies and energy transition,” said AMEE Director general.

“This year’s edition has attracted wide participation from countries across the Middle East and North Africa, and also from European, American and Scandinavian countries, which exceeded expectations after doubling the number of entries, which stood at 210 compared to 112 in the previous cycle,” said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, President of Emirates Energy Award.

Held under the theme: “Innovative Solutions for Clean Energy”, the Emirates Energy Award (EEA) aims to promote energy efficiency and highlight best practices and pioneering experiences in enhancing the rational use of energy as well as sustainability and environment protection.
