Royal Air Maroc Beefs up its fleet with New Boeing 737-8 to Meet Growing Demand

Morocco national flag carrier, Royal Air Maroc, has received its sixth Boeing 737-8 in six months within the frame of the company’s program launched to renew its fleet as its international network keeps growing.

The Boeing 737-8 belongs to Boeing’s 737 MAX family. It represents Boeing’s fourth-generation. The highly efficient aircraft integrates advanced aerodynamics, such as distinct split-tip winglets, and utilizes structurally advanced materials to lower operating and maintenance costs

In summer 2026, the Moroccan company offered nearly 8.2 million seats, up 23% from a year earlier, across an 86-destination international network. The new aircraft gives Royal Air Maroc additional capacity to accommodate rising demand while continuing to extend its international network.

The fleet expansion also supports the airline’s strategy to strengthen its position as a connecting hub between Africa and other regions.

The Moroccan company fleet consists of 71 active aircraft, operating an extensive network across Africa, Europe, the Americas, and Asia. The airline goal is to increase its fleet to 74 aircraft by the end of 2026 and 88 in 2027 before reaching 200 aircraft by 2037.
