The United States and Morocco remain committed to deepening their cooperation and working together to advance peace, security, and prosperity across the region.
The American-Moroccan commitment was announced Thursday by U.S. senior presidential advisor Massad Boulos in a post published on his X account following his talks with Moroccan foreign minister Nasser Bourita who is participating in the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Boulos said he discussed with Bourita the “long-standing U.S.-Morocco partnership and shared regional priorities” without giving further details.
The meeting comes few days after Boulos made a trip to Algiers where he conferred with Algerian President Abdelmajid Tebboune and several senior officials. These exchanges take place ahead of the UN Security Council meeting on the Sahara scheduled for October 31, 2026.
