Maroc Telecom, Morocco’s largest telecoms operator, said on Friday it made a profit attributable to shareholders of 7 billion dirhams ($760 mln) in 2025, up a 288%, as it patched a thaw with its competitor Wana that led it to pay over 6.3 billion dirhams.
The operator’s customer base grew to 77 million, up 3.6%, it said while its revenue also grew to 36.6 billion dirhams thanks to a better performance of its African branches.
Maroc telecom operates in Benin, Burkina Faso, the Central African Republic, Chad, Gabon, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, Mauritania, Niger and Togo.
Maroc Telecom will propose paying dividends of 4 dirhams per share, totaling 3.5 billion dirhams.
In November, the company launched 5G commercially in Morocco.
