The three-day meeting (feb. 3 to 5) is co-organized by Morocco and the United States, two partners committed to promoting global peace and combating evolving threats.

The Rabat forum brings together specialists from several countries to exchange experiences and discuss nuclear forensics, international coordination, capacity-building, national preparedness, crisis decision-making, and information sharing.

The Global Forum to Prevent Radiological and Nuclear Terrorism is a multilateral initiative dedicated to enhancing international cooperation to counter the threat of radiological and nuclear terrorism.

It gathers several countries and international organizations to prevent non-state actors (including terrorist groups) from acquiring or using radiological or nuclear materials for malicious purposes.

The Global FTPRNT assesses the current & evolving R/N risk and seeks to strengthen prevention, detection and response capabilities through boosting national preparedness, interagency coordination and effective information sharing.
