Morocco confirms final anti-dumping duties on Egyptian PVC imports

Morocco imposed anti-dumping duties to imports of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) originating from Egypt, after an investigation confirmed significant dumping margins and recommended definitive duties to protect the domestic market.

The investigation, launched on November 27, 2024, initially concluded that Egyptian PVC imports were causing serious harm to Morocco’s national industry.

As a result, provisional duties were imposed on June 6, 2025. The ministry’s latest determination upholds those findings and proposes the adoption of final anti-dumping measures.

According to the ministry, the inquiry relied on detailed responses from Egyptian Petrochemicals Company (EPC), the sole cooperating exporter.

Normal value was established based on domestic Egyptian prices, while export prices to Morocco were used to calculate dumping margins. For non-cooperating exporters, data from the original complaint served as the basis.
