German ZF LIFETEC joins Morocco’s competitive automotive ecosystem

German ZF LIFETEC Company, a leader in automotive safety systems, has opened a production site in Tangier Automotive City, specialized in the manufacturing of vehicle steering systems.

This state-of-the-art facility, built over 8,000 m2 area located near the Tangier Med industrial platform, marks a significant leap for global passive safety technology.

The new plant employs currently over 300 skilled workers, contributing to economic development in the region. It will enable the German group to enhance its presence in Morocco’s automotive ecosystem, expand into North Africa, and strengthen its position in global automotive markets.

ZF LIFETEC has selected the Tangier Med industrial zone because it is a strategic hub connecting Europe and Africa, offering investors competitive edge with direct access to markets and a network of over 160 suppliers.

This strategic location offers logistical advantages and access to affordable skilled workforce, making it an attractive destination for automotive industry and investment.
