Tunisia: Volume of date exports decrease by 6%

Tunisia exported 107.9 thousand tons of dates during the first seven months of the 2024–2025 season, i.e. from the beginning of the campaign in October 2024 to the end of April 2025, according to data from the National Observatory of Agriculture (ONAGRI).

Comparing this to the 114.7 thousand tons exported during the same period last year, there has been a 6.0% decrease. Just the “DEGLET ENNOUR” variety made up 85.4% of the total amount exported. As of the end of April 2025, export revenues totaled 687.1 million dinars, a 4.3% decrease from the 717.7 million dinars earned during the same period of the previous campaign.

Exports of organic dates totaled 5.4 thousand tons as of the end of April 2025, bringing in about 48.9 million dinars. As of the end of April 2025, export revenues totaled 687.1 million dinars, a 4.3% decrease from the 717.7 million dinars earned during the same period of the previous campaign.
