Football: RS Berkane wins its first-ever Moroccan league title

RS Berkane achieved a milestone by securing their first-ever Moroccan Botola Pro league title. This landmark victory came following a 1-1 draw against Ittihad Touarga in the 25th round of the competition.

Led by Tunisian coach Mouine Chaabani, RS Berkane demonstrated exceptional consistency throughout the season, with 18 wins, 6 draws, and only 1 loss, culminating in a total of 60 points. This performance established a commanding 15-point lead over their nearest rivals, FAR Rabat.

Star forward Oussama El Melioui expressed his pride in the team’s achievement, stating, “securing this title is a significant milestone for us. We will celebrate this victory and then refocus on our future objectives.”

This triumph not only brings prestige to RS Berkane but also secures their participation in the upcoming CAF Champions League. The Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have both extended their congratulations, acknowledging the team’s remarkable campaign.

As RS Berkane celebrates this historic victory, the club and its supporters look forward to building on this success and striving for further accomplishments in the future. This league title is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and unwavering spirit.
