Chadian delegation explores investment opportunities in Dakhla region

A Chadian economic delegation visited Dakhla on Friday to explore business prospects in the region and discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

This visit is part of Chad’s Economic Promotion Week in Morocco, aimed at showcasing the country’s economic potential in the Kingdom across various sectors and fostering the development of win-win business partnerships between Moroccan and Chadian operators.

Gadom Djal Gadom, economic advisor to the Chadian Prime Minister, emphasized, in a statement to the media, that Dakhla is the third stop after Rabat and Casablanca, where the Chadian delegation held a series of meetings with economic operators from both the public and private sectors.

Djal Gadom also noted that this visit provides an opportunity to share experiences and explore ways to strengthen cooperation, particularly in economic fields.

In this context, the Chadian official described the Royal Initiative aimed at enabling Atlantic Ocean access for the Sahel countries as the “best” initiative to promote development in the Sahel and explore regional markets.

He also mentioned that this Royal Initiative will concretely allow his country to develop its resources and boost its exports to other continents.

During the visit, the delegation members were briefed about the region’s development dynamics and its structural projects, including the Dakhla Atlantic Port.
Chad, which supports Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over the whole of its territory, including the Sahara region, opened a Consulate General in Dakhla in August 2024.
This move reflects the quality and intensity of the ties between Morocco and Chad, which are marked by their historical depth and stamped with the seal of brotherhood and solidarity.
