Air Transport: Irish Aer Lingus launches new Dublin-Marrakech route

Irish airline Aer Lingus has announced the launch of a new air route connecting Dublin to Marrakech starting this October, with three flights a week.

The launch of this new route is part of the “expanded program of the Irish carrier aimed at providing its customers with the opportunity to enjoy the sun during the winter season, with various and exciting travel options,” the carrier said in a statement.

With flights operating three times a week, starting from October 26, 2024, Aer Lingus invites its customers to “visit the Majorelle Garden or explore the beauty of the Bahia Palace,” and to (re)discover “the exotic charm of Marrakech, where the winter sun illuminates vibrant souks, ancient palaces, and bustling medinas, now within reach.”

Marrakech offers “an adventure at every turn, with a rich mosaic of landscapes, sounds, and flavors,” the Irish airline continued in its statement, noting that the decision to launch flights to the red city comes in response to global travel trends, which show a growing desire for sunny getaways in autumn and winter.
