OCP Group sets up new subsidiary offering farmers tailored solutions
Morocco’s state-owned phosphate OCP Group announced this Tuesday the setting up of a new subsidiary offering farmers customized plant nutrition solutions adapted to the crop, climate, and soil.
Dubbed “OCP Nutricrops”, the new entity will leverage the Group’s leading phosphate-based plant nutrition production and distribution capabilities to provide farmers with tailored solutions that preserve soil health, increase crop yields sustainably, combat climate change, and protect the natural environment.
The subsidiary will also provide training in precision nutrient management techniques, while minimizing costs to the farmer.
OCP Nutricrops will build on OCP Group’s international partnerships with researchers, agronomists, and distributors to drive the change required to make climate positive agriculture a reality.
Soufiyane El Kassi, the subsidiary CEO, said: “OCP Nutricrops will spearhead a new direction for effective soil health and plant nutrition solutions.”
By using customized soil and plant nutrition solutions “we improve global food security while combating climate change and protecting the natural environment,” he added.
OCP Nutricrops says it is committed to developing soil nutrition solutions to address global challenges in food production and sustainability.
