Côte d’Ivoire, USA ink deals to build Data Center and administrative digital city

Cote d’Ivoire will soon have its own national Data center and administrative digital city under two agreements signed between the African country and Cybastion Institute of Technology, a consortium of companies based in the U.S and member of U.S Chamber of Commerce.

Amadou Coulibaly, Cote d’Ivoire Minister of Communication and Digital Economy signed the deals with Thierry Wandji CEO of Cybastion Institute of Technology in the presence of president of the U.S.-Africa Business Center (USAfBC) at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The deals will bring together all government structures involved in the Digital Economy on a single site, and to secure government data in a backup data center.

For T. Wandji, the agreements will enable Ivoirians attain a true digital revolution.

Both the Ivorian government and Cybastion started talks for the two agreements in December 2022, after a first Memorandum of Understanding between the two sides. Coulibaly is on a U.S tour to meet with various investors and present the Ivorian digital projects. He will wind up the tour on July 2nd.
