U.S. Coordinator for Atlantic cooperation hails Moroccan King’s leadership
the U.S. Senior Coordinator for Atlantic Cooperation, Jessica Lapenn, hailed, Tuesday in Rabat, King Mohammed VI’s leadership in the Atlantic area.
Morocco plays a leading role in the Atlantic area under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, the US official told reporters after a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita.
“We are in Morocco for consultations in order to learn from the Moroccan experience in terms of leadership in the Atlantic,” she said, recalling that Rabat hosted the ministerial meeting of the Atlantic African States in 2022.
“We are working with Morocco to make the Atlantic a zone of opportunity and to come together as an Atlantic community for the Atlantic,” the U.S. official said, calling for collaboration among the Atlantic community through consultations between countries on both sides of the Atlantic.
