Marrakech hosts 13th Africa Public-Private Partnership Conference in October

Marrakech will host the 13th edition of the Africa Public-Private Partnership, Africa PPP, from October 25 to 27.

The Africa PPP Conference, held under the theme of “Accelerating Project Delivery and Partnerships,” features certified training on PPP and a 2-day conference. It will focus on projects in renewable energy, waste to energy, wastewater, bulk water, bulk transport, and infrastructure, and highlight innovative social service projects PPPs.

The 13th edition will feature active and upcoming projects in the areas of renewable energy, waste-to-energy, wastewater, bulk water, bulk transportation, and infrastructure, and will highlight new social service PPP projects under the theme “Accelerating Project Delivery and Partnerships”.

This year’s edition will include certified PPP training and a two-day conference.

“Africa PPP 2022 will examine infrastructure challenges and how new approaches to proof of value, risk, planning and asset management are helping asset owners deliver critical projects,” the organizers said in a press release.

The conference will also include keynote speeches, as well as sessions on projects presentations.

“This year’s edition will focus on showcasing bankable projects in the pipeline, news from current project developers, and presentation of project opportunities in Africa,” the organizers said.

The event will be attended by representatives of PPP Units, ministerial departments, Public Services legal and technical advisors, consultants, and bankers from 34 countries, according to the Africa PPP official website.

Africa PPP is Africa’s longest-running PPP conference, held each year in both Northern and Southern Africa. It brings together public entities that have PPP project potential and have demonstrated effective project implementation, and professionals in infrastructure delivery, including purchasing authorities, governmental agencies, and the finance community, as well as businesses, to address infrastructure issues and prospects.
