The Rabat-based Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency has organized free medical campaigns over the past three days in several villages and localities across the Al-Quds Governorate, focusing on women’s health and early disease detection as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, observed in October.
The campaigns benefited residents of Al-Jadira, Al-Jib, Bir Nabala, Beit Hanina Al-Balad and Qalandia Al-Balad, located beyond the separation wall. They also offered medical checkups in pediatrics, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and ophthalmology, alongside awareness-raising activities on women’s and reproductive health and family planning.
These initiatives are part of the efforts undertaken by Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, which operates under the Al-Quds Committee, chaired by King Mohammed VI, to bring healthcare services closer to populations living on the outskirts of Al-Quds and in remote areas, where access to medical care remains challenging.
On October 18, the Agency launched the second phase of its free medical campaign program in the Al-Quds Governorate, starting in Biddou, northwest of the city, where around 150 residents benefited from the services.
This phase is conducted in collaboration with Moroccan healthcare group AKDITAL and in partnership with Astra Lab laboratories, building on the positive results of the first phase and the need to continue providing healthcare services to residents of villages and Bedouin communities across the governorate.
