Moroccan airports recorded their highest passenger traffic levels of the summer in 2026, driven by the country’s growing appeal and expanded flight connections, Moroccan airports office, Aéroport du Maroc, said.
Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport reached a peak of 46,439 passengers in a single 24-hour period during the first weekend of August. Marrakech-Ménara handled more than 30,000 passengers in one day, while Rabat-Salé saw 9,226, Agadir Al Massira 11,973, and Tangier Ibn Battouta 13,309 on their busiest days.
Dakhla and Tétouan posted some of the strongest increases, with passenger traffic rising 45.2% and 36.14% respectively on peak days.
These summer figures form part of a broader upward trend. After handling a record 36.3 million passengers in 2025, Morocco’s airport network has continued to grow in 2026.
Aéroports du Maroc said it is expanding capacity, upgrading infrastructure, digitizing services, and improving passenger flows under its “Airports 2030” strategy to keep pace with rising demand.
