CAE Inc., Arlington, Texas, has been awarded a $42.1 million U.S. Air Force contract for Royal Moroccan Air Force F-16 Block 72 training systems and contractor logistics support.
The contract provides for two F-16 full mission trainer systems to include instructor-operator stations, F-16 Block 72 cockpit, visual display system, computational system, power distribution system, joint helmet-mounted cueing system ii helmet-mounted display, one uninterruptable power supply, one central file server, spares and support equipment.
Work will be performed in Arlington, Texas; and Sidi Slimane Airbase, Morocco, and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2029.
CAE is a leading manufacturer of simulation technologies, modelling technologies and training services to airlines, aircraft manufacturers. CAE was founded in 1947, and has manufacturing operations and training facilities in 35 countries.
Its simulators include basic training devices CAE 400XR and CAE 500XR, and full-motion products such as the CAE 3000, CAE 5000 and CAE 7000XR. These simulators are available for commercial use. In 2016, the company sold 53 Full-Flight Simulators.
In 2001, CAE Inc. acquired BAE Systems Flight Simulation and Training division. The same year, the aviation electronics company purchased the Military Training businesses of L3Harris Technologies.
