Morocco-built Fiat Topolino enters US market

The Fiat Topolino electric microcar, produced at Stellantis’ factory in Kenitra, has been launched in the United States, marking the first time a vehicle manufactured at the Moroccan plant has been commercially introduced to the US market.

The Italian automaker has delivered an initial batch of 300 Topolinos to selected US dealerships, with a second shipment scheduled for later this summer, according to specialized media reports.

The launch represents a milestone for Stellantis’ Moroccan operations. The Topolino has been produced in Kenitra since 2023 alongside its sister models, the Citroën Ami and Opel Rocks-e, all part of the group’s growing portfolio of compact electric mobility vehicles.

The move could also signal the beginning of broader exports from the Kenitra facility to North America. Le Desk reported that the Topolino may soon be followed by the Fiat Grizzly and Fiat Fastback compact SUVs, whose production recently began at the Moroccan plant.
