The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) have claimed that military operations conducted between 1 June and 14 June 2026 resulted in the destruction of 141 Rapid Support Forces (RSF) combat vehicles and the killing of dozens of fighters across key conflict zones in Darfur, Kordofan and the Blue Nile region.
An Army spokesperson said in a statement Government forces and allied groups inflicted significant losses on the RSF during targeted operations on the three fronts.
According to the military, operations in Darfur destroyed 29 RSF combat vehicles and several strategic facilities in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur State. The targets reportedly included two ammunition depots, two military equipment warehouses, two drone ammunition storage sites and a major fuel depot used to support RSF operations.
Nyala is regarded as the RSF’s main stronghold and serves as the administrative centre of a parallel government established by an RSF-aligned coalition.
The Army also reported destroying 92 RSF vehicles in the Kordofan region and said the operations had foiled attempts by the paramilitary group to expand its influence in the area. It further claimed to have shot down a long-range hostile drone over the central city of Kenana.
In the Blue Nile region, the military said it destroyed 21 RSF combat vehicles and inflicted heavy casualties on opposing forces. The army has recently regained territory in the region from an alliance involving the RSF and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N). The military reaffirmed its commitment to continuing operations until the RSF is defeated and security is restored throughout the country.
The conflict between the Sudanese Army and the RSF, which began in April 2023, continues to divide the country, with the RSF controlling much of Darfur and parts of Kordofan and Blue Nile, while the army retains control of central, eastern and northern Sudan.
