Automotive Wiring Systems: Leoni Group Launches Construction Works of New Plant in Morocco

LEONI Group is enhancing its presence in Morocco with the building of a new production site over a 35 000 m² area in Bouskoura, Casablanca suburbs. This is the 12th industrial unit of the automotive wiring and cable supplier in the Kingdom.

The construction works were launched Thursday during a ceremony marked by the presence of minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, representatives of local authorities and senior representatives of LEONI, a global provider of products, solutions and services for energy and data management in the automotive industry.

Over $ 69 million will be invested in the new facility to create around 4,000 jobs. LEONI employs nearly 20,000 Moroccan skilled workers in its plants operating in Bouskoura, Berrechid, Bouznika, Agadir and Casablanca, making it one of the leading players in the country’s national industrial ecosystem.

LEONI Morocco produces high-quality, innovative solutions to international partners. Established in Morocco in 1971, the company provides energy and data management solutions across various industrial sectors, with a strong focus on the automotive sector.

LEONI’s growth in Morocco is driven by the country’s geostrategic position and proximity to Europe, enabling efficient logistics and seamless trade with European and African markets.

Morocco also offers investors modern infrastructure (high-quality road, rail, and port networks, including major ports like Tanger Med) facilitating exports, skilled workforce, attractive tax incentives, political stability and
access to multiple markets through free trade agreements with the European Union, the United States, and other regions.
