Morocco’s Akdital accelerates Gulf expansion with 3rd hospital in Saudi Arabia

Morocco’s leading private healthcare group Akdital is preparing to build a third hospital in Saudi Arabia, marking a new step in its rapid expansion across the Gulf region, specialized media reported.

The Casablanca-listed group has acquired land in Riyadh for the project, according to company communication cited by Reuters and Le Desk.

The planned facility will add to Akdital’s growing presence in Saudi Arabia, where it is already set to launch operations at the Al Mishari hospital in Riyadh this summer following renovation and rebranding under the name Akdital Olaya Hospital.

The company is also finalizing acquisition plans in Mecca.

Akdital has earmarked around $1.4 billion in investments in Saudi Arabia, targeting a total capacity of 1,000 beds in the Gulf country by 2030.

In addition to its projects in Saudi Arabia, the group is currently developing a 180-bed hospital in Dubai with a dedicated oncology center. It is also pursuing expansion opportunities in North Africa, including a planned acquisition of Tunisia’s Taoufik Hospitals Group, estimated at around $90 million.

Akdital reported a 49% increase in revenue in 2025, reaching 4.41 billion dirhams.
