Moroccan clinic operator Akdital said it signed a protocol agreement to buy 100% stake in Taoufik Hospitals Group (THG), marking its first expansion into North Africa outside Morocco and the Gulf.
Founded in 2014, THG operates four private hospitals in Tunisia with a combined capacity of over 600 beds, including 100 intensive care beds, Akdital said, adding that the transaction is pending regulatory approval.
THG reported 2024 consolidated revenues exceeding $45 million. For 2025, the Tunisian group forecasts 15% growth, driven by oncology.
The move follows Akdital’s recent expansion in the Gulf, where it operates Abdul Rahman Al Mishari Hospital in Riyadh and Bishri Hospital in Mecca, and has announced plans for a multidisciplinary hospital and oncology centers in Dubai.
