The Commonwealth of Dominica reaffirmed on Thursday its constant support to Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its entire territory, including the Sahara region.
The supportive stand was voiced by Foreign Minister Vince Henderson in a press briefing following talks in Rabat with his Moroccan peer Nasser Bourita.
The Dominican Minister welcomed the growing international consensus and the momentum driven by King Mohammed VI in favor of the autonomy plan put forward by Morocco.
In this respect, he reaffirmed “the full support of the Commonwealth of Dominica for the Moroccan autonomy plan, which it considers as the sole credible, serious and realistic solution.”
Henderson also hailed UN Security Council Resolution 2797 last October, which recognizes Morocco’s autonomy plan. And the latter is recognized as the only possible way to resolve the Sahara issue.
