The Government of Mauritania has approved a draft decree allocating 40 hectares of land in Chami to the National Industrial and Mining Company for the development of a steel production plant and associated facilities.
The project, aligned with national industrial policy, is expected to enhance the company’s operational efficiency. It is also aimed to strengthen the mining and metallurgical sectors’ contribution to the economy.
Authorities the development will also stimulate economic activity in Chami, supporting broader industrial growth and adherence to urban planning, safety, and regulatory standards.
