Morocco, Poland Explore Opportunities to Broaden Scope of Defense Cooperation

Morocco and Poland have explored at a meeting in Rabat Thursday opportunities to broaden the scope of their cooperation in matters of defense.

The meeting gathered Minister Delegate in charge of Morocco’s National Defense Administration Abdeltif Loudyi and Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, Coordinator of Special Services of Poland Tomasz Siemoniak, who was is on a working visit to Morocco at the head of a large delegation.

The two sides discussed bilateral and regional issues, and explored ways and means to bolster cooperation in the field of defense, building on respective potentials and advantages offered by both countries, a statement from the National Defense Administration said.

Loudyi emphasized the importance of promoting relations in this area, particularly regarding military equipment and the defense industry.

The Polish official noted that his visit to Rabat forms part of efforts to enshrine and diversify bilateral cooperation, and aims to explore opportunities to broaden the scope of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The meeting provided an opportunity to highlight various South-South and regional cooperation initiatives launched under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, making the Kingdom a dynamic force for stability, progress, and peace in the Euro-African region.

The two officials expressed shared willingness to reinforce military and defense cooperation ties, the statement said.
