Leading carmaker Stellantis Morocco has partnered with Attawfiq Microfinance to enable small business owners purchase FIAT TRIS, a 100% electric three-wheeled vehicle produced in Kenitra plant, Morocco.
Under the deal, Attawfiq Microfinance, established in 2000 by Moroccan BCP Group, will provide small loans to those wishing to get TRIS without a heavy upfront. The goal is to help unbankable people with irregular income access to funding and support financial inclusion in the country.
TRIS is designed for tight urban environments. This zero-emissions business solution features a 48-volt electric motor (9 kW maximum power), a top speed of 45 km/h, and a 6.9 kWh lithium-ion battery providing a 90 km range.
The ultra-light commercial vehicle offers a 540 kg payload capacity, a 2.25 m² cargo area and comes in three configurations: chassis-cabin, flatbed, and pickup. It features an integrated 220V plug for easy charging on household outlets, reaching 80% charge in 3.5 hours
