OCP Group reports $5.2 billion revenue growth in first half of 2025

Morocco’s phosphate giant OCP Group achieved remarkable financial and operational performance during the first half of 2025, recording double-digit growth across key indicators. The company’s revenue reached 52.2 billion dirhams ($5.2 billion) compared to 43.2 billion dirhams in the corresponding 2024 period, driven by increased fertilizer and rock sales volumes.

Second quarter 2025 revenue totaled 30.6 billion dirhams, surpassing the same period in 2024 due to favorable market conditions and higher export sales volumes. The group’s operational efficiency and industrial flexibility generated a solid 36% EBITDA margin, reflecting strong profitability amid market volatility.

OCP’s Strategic Business Unit Specialty Products & Solutions, launched in 2022 to commercialize specialized phosphorus applications from Morocco’s phosphate reserves, delivered strong performance with export revenue of 3.767 billion dirhams. Growth occurred across all segments including specialized acids, water-soluble fertilizers, and animal feed phosphates.

The company strengthened its international presence by acquiring an additional 25% stake in Spanish company GlobalFeed S.L. in February 2025, increasing ownership to 75%. This acquisition expands OCP’s animal nutrition portfolio with specialized phosphate-based products and high-value-added feeds.

International financing demonstrates investor confidence in OCP’s growth strategy. The company successfully raised $1.75 billion through international bond markets in April 2025, with the offering oversubscribed four times, representing OCP’s largest order book ever. The dual-tranche structure includes $750 million five-year bonds at 6.1% and $1 billion ten-year bonds at 6.7%.

Additional green financing includes 365 million euros from SACE and 350 million euros from the French Development Agency supporting OCP’s $13 billion green investment program. This initiative targets 100% clean energy usage and unconventional water sources by 2027, carbon neutrality by 2040, and expanded green ammonia production capacity.
