Morocco’s airport authority restructures for “Airports 2030” Strategy

Morocco’s National Airports Office (ONDA) has launched a comprehensive organizational restructuring to strengthen performance and deploy its strategic “Airports 2030” development plan through leadership changes across three major operational divisions.

The airport authority announced two significant internal organizational changes involving interim appointments, recruitment processes, and retention of internal expertise. ONDA has issued calls for applications to recruit new directors for air navigation and airport operations divisions, while appointing interim managers to ensure operational continuity during the transition period.

Two current directors, both experienced professionals who contributed to ONDA’s development, will transition to focus on development projects while remaining directly accountable to the Director General. This realignment reflects the organization’s commitment to leveraging existing expertise while introducing fresh leadership perspectives.

The restructuring continues renewal already initiated within the commercial division, which recently welcomed a new director focused on economic performance, strategic partnerships, and transforming airports into comprehensive multi-service hubs and lifestyle spaces. This approach aligns with global trends toward airport commercialization and enhanced passenger experiences.

Through this responsibility reorganization and pursuit of new professional profiles, ONDA actively consolidates deployment of its “Airports 2030” strategy, relying on all divisions and competencies to accomplish this mission successfully. The strategy emphasizes human resources as essential transformation levers, prioritizing team skill development, continuous training, and managerial innovation.

ONDA positions human capital development as fundamental to achieving operational excellence and service quality matching organizational ambitions. The restructuring represents a new internal organization phase driven by the “Airports 2030” strategy and clear determination to adapt organizational structure to emerging challenges.

The initiative aims to strengthen team capabilities and methodically construct tomorrow’s airports with sustained commitment to infrastructure modernization and service enhancement across Morocco’s airport network.
