Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi wins 2025 Marc-Vivien Foé Award
Moroccan Star of Paris Saint-Germain team, Achraf Hakimi, has been awarded the 2025 Marc-Vivien Foé Award, an honor that recognizes the best African player in France’s Ligue 1.
The Moroccan right-back is the first PSG player ever to have received the award since its inception in 2009.
Presented by France 24 and Radio France Internationale, the award is a prestigious accolade in French football. Hakimi now joins his fellow Moroccans Marouane Chamakh, Younès Belhanda, and Sofiane Boufal as a recipient of the award.
“This nomination makes me proud,” Hakimi told RFI in an interview following the announcement. “I am happy to have won this award. I hope to win more! And in doing so, join the ranks of the great players. I’m very proud of myself.”
Hakimi, 26, has had a standout season with PSG, playing a key role in its dominance in the Champions League campaign.
