
Strengthening Morocco-Qatar military cooperation reviewed in Doha
Means of upgrading military cooperation between Morocco and Qatar and expanding the two countries’ partnership to other areas were at the focus of the visit Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, FAR Inspector General and Commander of the South Zone paid to Qatar this April 19 – 22.
The FAR Inspector General, who visited Qatar at the high instructions of the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), held separate meetings with his Qatari counterpart, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General, Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai, and with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Bin Hassan Al Thani, the FAR General Staff said in a statement.
During the talks that discussed ways of strengthen military cooperation, both sides expressed satisfaction with military relations, characterized by the strength and mutual understanding, between the two countries.
They welcomed the tangible results of this fruitful cooperation, which serves as a model of strategic partnership between the two countries.
During his trip, the FAR Inspector General and Commander of the South Zone visited several command centers and military units of the Qatari Armed Forces, including the Joint Forces Command, the Qatar’s Emiri Signal Corps, and the Air Defense Forces.
