Morocco wins gold in Arab math & logic games championship

The Moroccan national team claimed first place in the second Arab Championship for Mathematics and Logic Games in the junior category (U14s) held in Tunis.

The Moroccan team, participating remotely, secured three gold medals grabbed by Ismail Abkkari, Yahya El Ouafi, and Yahya Ajbar, and one bronze medal won by Lina Laman.

Sixteen Arab countries participated in the tournament, each represented by a team of four students. Members of the Moroccan team were selected based on their results in the National Junior Olympiad in Mathematics and the first Arab Championship for Mathematics and Logic Games.

During the championship, participants take a single test involving logic, geometry, tiling, code-breaking, folding, and puzzles, with two hours to complete it.

The competition was held under the aegis of the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALECSO).
