Morocco and Spain coordinate healthcare cooperation ahead of world cup
Morocco and Spain discussed their cooperation plans in the health sector in preparation for the World Cup, which they will host in 2030 together with Portugal.
This was raised during talks in Geneva by Morocco’s health minister Khaled Ait Taleb and his Spanish peer Monica Garcia, on the sidelines of a World Health Organization meeting.
Ait Taleb said Morocco’s healthcare infrastructure is ready to deal with any contingencies during the global tournament and welcomed cooperation with Spain.
He also stressed the need to further promote cooperation between the three host nations in order to provide the best healthcare during the competition.
Host cities will have a reinforced healthcare offer as Morocco continues to train medical staff ahead of the event, he said.
Echoing him, the Spanish health minister voiced readiness to cooperate with Morocco to implement an efficient strategy that would serve both fans and footballers during the event.
Health cooperation was among the priority areas for bilateral cooperation that featured in a joint declaration following Pedro Sanchez visit to Rabat.
