King reiterates firm determination to consolidate Morocco’s exemplary relations with Chad
King Mohammed VI has reiterated his firm determination to work with the new Chadian Head of State, General Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, to further consolidate the exemplary relations binding the two countries in all fields.
The Sovereign stressed, in a message of congratulations to the new Chadian Head of State, that Morocco and Chad are united by strong ties of brotherhood, active solidarity and fruitful cooperation, and reiterated his firm determination to work with the Chadian President to further consolidate these exemplary relations in all fields, “for the greater good of our two peoples and in the service of peace, unity and sustainable development.”
King Mohammed VI has sent a message of congratulations to new Chadian Head of State General Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, on the occasion of his election to the highest office of the Republic of Chad.
In this message, the Sovereign expressed his warm congratulations and best wishes of success to General Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno following his election to the highest office of the Republic of Chad.
“By expressing their confidence in you at this essential stage of the democratic transition process, the Chadian people have shown their gratitude for your commitment to defending their supreme interests and realizing their aspirations for greater progress and prosperity,” the King stated in his message.
In the presidential election held on May 6, Mahamat Déby Itno, previously serving as the transitional leader, secured 61.03% of the votes, surpassing his Prime Minister, Succès Masra, who garnered 18.53%. Former Prime Minister Albert Pahimi Padacké came in third with 16.91%.
