Royal humanitarian operation: Bayt Mal Al-Quds hands over equipment to Red Crescent Hospital in Al-Quds
As part of the humanitarian operation ordered by King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, for the benefit of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the Holy City, Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency handed over complete equipment to the emergency monitoring unit at the Red Crescent hospital in Al-Quds on Sunday.
A statement from the Rabat-based Agency indicates that this batch of equipment includes office stationary, computers, centralized internet units, large display screens, electronic tablets, mobile communication equipment, oxygen bottles, and other materials.
This operation, which took place in the presence of representatives from the Association of Hospitals in East Al-Quds, also involved the distribution of 50 ambulance kits containing 42 pieces of equipment and emergency medicines.
During this operation, a batch of medicines and medical supplies was also handed over to the pharmacy of the Red Crescent hospital and others to the Al Makassed Charitable Association hospital, demonstrating the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency’s commitment to fulfilling its obligations and providing constant support to the main hospitals in Al-Quds, essential partners of the Agency in the Holy City.
Morocco, at the instructions of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, dispatched a humanitarian aid destined to the Palestinian population in Gaza and the Holy City of Al Quds.
The humanitarian assistance, which coincides with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, aims to alleviate the sufferings of the Palestinian population, notably the most vulnerable layers of the society.
Besides the institutional aid, deployed notably through the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, the King has personally funded a large part of the dispatched aid, particularly the aid delivered to babies and young children.
The assistance was conveyed, in an unprecedented move by a land route, a fact that shows that the King has achieved what great powers have not been able to obtain, as the land route was opened to King Mohammed VI thanks to his weight and position on the international scene, his aura, his moral authority, and his credibility.
Moreover, King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, has instructed Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency to provide a humanitarian aid to the populations of this Holy City. Thus, 2,000 food baskets were distributed to 2,000 households in Al Quds, and 1,000 meals are being served daily for Palestinians in the City. The aid also provides for setting up an emergency coordination room in the Jerusalem Hospital.
This large-scale humanitarian operation for the Palestinian population confirms the effective commitment and continued solicitude of King Mohammed VI for the Palestinian cause and is part of Morocco’s long tradition of active and concrete solidarity with Palestine. It confirms that Moroccan solidarity is not dictated by circumstances or conjuncture, but is steady and continuous, and evidences, if need be, that the Kingdom’s positions towards the Palestinian cause are clear, unshakable, and irreversible.
