AfDB committed to actively contribute to financing development projects in Morocco

The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) is committed to actively contribute to financing development projects in Morocco, in line with the kingdom’s social and economic priorities.

The remarks were made by the special representative of the AfDB President, Yacine Fal, at a meeting in Rabat this Thursday with Morocco’s Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah.

During the meeting that was attended by AfDB country manager, Achraf Tarsim, Mrs Fal expressed her institution’s determination to actively contribute to financing development projects in line with the kingdom’s social and economic priorities, the Ministry of Economy & Finance said in a statement posted on its website.

For her part, Mrs Fettah underlined the importance of the strategic partnership framework which consolidates cooperation between Morocco and the AfDB Group.

She also emphasized the importance of the Bank’s country strategy and the Kingdom’s continued commitment to the development of Africa, in accordance with the vision of King Mohammed VI.

Since 1978, the African development bank has injected 12 billion euros in more than 180 projects carried out in various sectors in Morocco.
