Sahara: Cooperation between Royal Armed Forces and MINURSO reviewed in Agadir

Cooperation between the Moroccan Royal Armed Forces and the UN mission for the Sahara, MINURSO, was reviewed at a meeting in Agadir Thursday between Inspector General of FAR and Commander of the South Zone, Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, and the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General and Head of MINURSO, Alexander Ivanko.

MINURSO chief was accompanied during the meeting held at the headquarters of the South Zone Staff in Agadir by Major General Md Fakhrul Ahsan, MINURSO Force Commander, and a large delegation, the FAR General Staff said in a statement.

Talks covered the various aspects of cooperation between the FAR and MINURSO Forces, the statement said, adding that the two sides expressed their desire to strengthen this cooperation in the service of peace and stability in the region.
