Spain renews resolve to bolster further its multi-faceted relations with Morocco
Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, has renewed his country’s determination to further develop its relations with Morocco in all areas.
“Our objective is to continue to make progress in our economic relations, to strengthen cooperation in areas such as the fight against terrorism and the mafias that traffic in human beings, and to increase the cultural and educational exchanges nourishing relations between our two countries,” Albares told the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Congress of Deputies on Monday.
“Morocco is a neighboring country with which we share human and economic ties”, noted the Spanish top diplomat, emphasizing the importance of Morocco, a “friendly country”, for Spain.
“For all these reasons, I opted for Morocco as the destination for my first official trip of this legislature”, stressed Albares, recalling the importance of the meetings held during this visit.
