Aya Gold & Silver discovers more high-grade silver in Morocco
Canadian company Aya Gold & Silver announced it found high-grade silver at the Zgounder Silver Mine in Morocco.
“Today’s high-grade drill results including hole ZG-RC-23-2230-212 near the open-pit area to the East continue to demonstrate continuity of mineralization from surface and at depth over the larger footprint of the deposit,” said Benoit La Salle, President & CEO.
“We are also very encouraged by these results and expect more significant intercepts in the coming months as we accelerate underground drilling at Zgounder”, he added.
These positive results come nearly one year after the Canadian company received up to $100 million loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD).
The funding helped Aya Gold & Silver support expansion and upgrade of its Zgounder silver mine, with a new state of the art 2,000tpd processing plant, a new power line with a renewable energy and new wastewater facilities.
Listed on the TSX, the Canadian Corporation operates the Zgounder Silver Mine, an underground silver mine located 260km east of Agadir. In addition to advancing its Boumadine polymetallic project, Aya has a number of exploration properties located along the prolific Anti-Atlas belt that is host to Zgounder and Managem’s Imiter Mine.
