Princess Lalla Hasnaa Receives Al-Quds Children Taking Part in 14th Summer Camps of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency
Upon the instructions of King Mohammed VI, Princess Lalla Hasnaa received on Saturday at the Palais des Hôtes in Rabat, the children from Al-Quds who have taken part in the 14th edition of the summer camps organized by Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency.
The agency’s initiative, placed under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, reflects the Sovereign’s constant support for the Holy City and its inhabitants.
The initiative strengthens the work of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, which is dedicated to supporting the Holy City of Al-Quds and its inhabitants through multiple projects that have a significant impact on the population of the Holy City, particularly women, children and people in difficult situations.
Since its launch in 2008, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency’s summer camp program, now in its 14th year, has seen a total of 700 children from various districts of the Holy City, accompanied by 70 supervisors, visit different regions of the Kingdom and see for themselves the strength of Moroccans’ solidarity with the Palestinians.
Dubbed the “Green March”, this year’s event, which ran from August 10 to 26, benefited, as in previous editions, girls and boys from the city of Al-Quds aged between 11 and 14.
Several parents of beneficiary children have hailed the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency summer camps as “a cultural initiative with noble human dimensions”
In statements to MAP in Al-Quds, the parents stressed that the various activities of the camp are a real added value for the children, who are in dire need of such initiatives.
They praised the warm reception and accommodation reserved to their children, and noted that “the initiative was crowned with a noble royal act that filled the children and their families with unspeakable joy as they were received by Princess Lalla Hasnaa.”
Pointing out that the initiative is welcomed by the children, their families and the residents of Al-Quds, the parents expressed their sincere thanks and gratitude to Morocco, the King and the organizers of the summer camps, which constitute, they said, another bridge between Al-Quds and Morocco.
Minister of Al-Quds Affairs Fadi Al-Hadmi also hailed the initiative and underlined that Morocco’s concern, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, for Al-Quds and its residents is a constant, appreciated effort that has positively affected various aspects of life in the holy city.
There is a constant and continuous communication between Al-Quds and Morocco, which is reflected in many actions and initiatives, one of which is the summer camp of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, he said, expressing appreciation for the King’s sincere and genuine role in the defense of Al-Quds and the efforts of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency in this regard, which covers various aspects of life.
In this connection, Palestinian education official Samir Jibril said the summer camps have great moral impact on the holy city’s population, which highly appreciates this initiative as it constitutes an important educational impetus for their children. This is so far the best initiative for the city’s children, he said.
The Palestinian official voiced his appreciation for King Mohammed VI and for the efforts of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency in supporting education and schooling, providing scholarships, backing healthcare, housing, agriculture and culture among other sectors in the holy city.
He also described Princess Lalla Hasnaa’s encounter with the delegation from Al-Quds as a noble and humanitarian act.
