Military cooperation between Morocco, Burkina Faso discussed in Rabat

The longstanding military cooperation between Morocco and Burkina Faso was discussed at a meeting Wednesday in Rabat between Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone Mohammed Berrid and Colonel Major Célestin Simpor, Chief of the General Staff of the Burkinabe Armed Forces.

According to a press release issued by the FAR General Staff, the talks between the two officials focused on cooperation between the Royal Armed Forces and the Burkinabe Armed Forces.

The two officials hailed during their talks the ties of friendship, active solidarity and mutual trust that bind Morocco and Burkina-Faso.

Military cooperation between the two armies, which began in 1974, focuses mainly on the training of Burkinabé military personnel in FAR schools and training centers, as well as on training, the press release says.
