Morocco’s Saharan Dakhla Oued Ed-Dahab Region Adds Senegal’s Mbour to Its Partner Cities

Morocco’s Saharan region of Dakhla Oued-Edahab is expanding the circle of its regional and international alliance for shared progress and prosperity in the new world order taking form.
After having signed lately twinning agreements with U.S. Hollywood city and Peru’s “Pueblo Libre” in Lima, the Moroccan Saharan region sealed on Tuesday a Memorandum of Understanding with Senegalese tourist city of Mbour, located in the Thiès Region, southern Dakar.
The MoU was inked in Dakar by Head of Dakhla Oued Ed-Dahab region Khettat Yenja, and Chief of Mbour municipal Council Saliou Samb, in presence of several Moroccan and Senegalese diplomats and officials.
The signatories pledged to exchange experiences & expertise in local governance, strengthen cooperation ties in sectors of common concern and develop joint socio-economic and cultural development programs and projects.
The MoU was signed on the sidelines of a business forum organized in the Senegalese capital to give a new impetus to economic cooperation between the two countries’ regions which share huge potentials in tourism and fisheries.
The Moroccan delegation held working sessions with officials from the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Dakar & Saint-Louis as well as with the National Agency for the Promotion of Investment.
The leaders of Dakhla Oued Eddahhab region travelled to Senegal to showcase the huge business offered in the region, a gateway for investment in Africa.
After Dakar, members of the Moroccan delegation will head to Abidjan, Ivory Coast, for talks on partnership projects and south-south cooperation.
