Algeria: Let’s enraged military regime bites its tail & dies of jealousy

Morocco’s historic performance at World soccer cup 2022 has been cheered worldwide, expect in neighboring Algeria wherein the ruling military junta banned its media from reporting news about the Atlas Lions’ stunning achievements and progress to the semifinals.

The gag order showed to the world the irrational and sickening hatred of the Algerian authorities for Morocco’s impressive world cup run which made the Arab world and Africa proud. They’re the first Arab and first African team to make it this far.

After their goalless draw with Croatia, they defeated Belgium (2-0) and Canada (2-1) to take the lead of the Group F. In their fourth match, they knocked out Spain on penalties (3-0) and ousted Portugal (1-0) to advance to the semi-finals.

These unparalleled soccer feats were celebrated throughout the Arab world and Africa, while Algerian public TV stations have not mentioned a word on Morocco’s feats in Qatar, triggering a widespread backlash and anger from Arab and African fans.

The ridiculous behavior of Algerian authorities is pointless as Morocco’s world cup victories were broadcast live around the global and hailed across the planet as the global soccer dream becomes a vivid reality.

When an Algerian TV just showed results of Morocco’s 1-0 win over Portugal in world cup quarter-finals within the frame of its daily sports round-up, the TV director general was immediately fired by the Algerian Generals in a bid to terrorize and muzzle the public.

In Algeria, supporting the neighboring Moroccan soccer team is deemed as a crime by the corrupt, lunatic and oppressive gerontocratic regime. The Algerian authorities went even further. They arrested some soldiers for posting a video in which they celebrate the Atlas Lions victory over Portugal.

In their video, the Algerian soldiers congratulated their Moroccan “brothers” and the Atlas Lions World cup win wishing them good luck in their semi-final match against France.

According to some analysts, the frenzy of the Algerian authorities can be explained by their fear of losing control as the amazing world cup dream ignited by Morocco is giving wings to the Arab world and beyond.
